Lubbock Station No. 19 is a 12,128 SF fire station with a separate 3,600 SF Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT) building. The facility includes a 20-person classroom that serves firefighters, City staff, and the community. The kitchen, dining, and living room are located in a great room concept that accommodates 10 firefighters. The four 65-foot drive-thru bays feature high-speed coiling doors and high windows for increased daylight in the space. The CPAT building, located behind the station, is necessary for the department’s firefighter training program. The facility was purposely built with the equipment and features to allow candidates to practice for and take the Candidate Physical Ability Test.
